Tory Patterson, Partner
Tory Patterson joined Catamount Ventures in 2007 and hasn’t sat still since. Tory has advised several start-ups from the idea stage through launch, financing and commercialization. He is deeply involved in the development and management of several of our portfolio companies. He takes an active role assisting founders and management through the financing process and post-financing operations, oftentimes filling gaps in management as the team grows.
Tory sourced and led investments in:
• Presence Learning (Board of Directors)
• Ecologic Brands (Board of Directors)
• Ten Marks (Board observer)
• Real Time Genomics (Board observer)
He is also a Board observer and has been integrally involved from the beginning with Digital Lifeboat, ModuMetal, TransCella, Numi Tea and Nest Collective.
Prior to joining Catamount, Tory was a San Francisco based investment banker focused on technology and healthcare. He worked on several public financings, private placements and mergers & acquisitions. Tory was one of the initial hires and early team member at both GCA Savvian and Wells Fargo Securities. He played an active role in the development of their teams and early practices. Prior to those roles he was with Robertson Stephens.
Tory holds an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from Williams College. He lives in Menlo Park, CA with his wife, daughter and two dogs.
